Please join HE Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche the head of Ewam International and founder of the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas to celebrate Guru Rinpoche Day on Sunday, June 9, 2019.
In the morning, Rinpoche will kindly bestow the empowerment of “The Distilled Heart Essence, The Unifying Sadhana of the Spontaneous Fulfillment of Wishes from the Gathering of Sugatas: The Means for Accomplishing the Enlightened Mind of the Lama:” (Tib. Lame Thuk-drup De-shek Kun-du). This text was prepared by Rinpoche from the Namchak Tsasum Lingpa treasures.
After lunch, there will be an elaborate feast offering practice. This ganacakra feast offering (Tibetan: tsog) is traditionally observed each month on the 10th day of the Tibetan Lunar calendar and we will continue this tradition here at the Garden going forward. To formally mark this special occasion, we are very fortunate to have HE Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche at our center.
Schedule for June 9th:
8:30 am to 12 pm – Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche will bestow the empowerment of Mind Sadhana
2 pm to 5:30 pm – Ganacakra feast (tsog)
*Please bring your own lunch to enjoy at the Garden
For those new to Buddhist practice, when receiving an empowerment, it is customary to offer a kata (white scarf), along with dana (monetary gift) in accord with one’s means, in order to create the circumstances for an auspicious connection to the teacher, lineage and practice.
If you wish, please bring offerings of food or drink to contribute to the tsog. The offerings will be collectively arranged on the shrine altar and remain there throughout the session to be blessed while we engage in the sadhana practice. They will then be distributed to the sangha.
Pre-registration not required – come a few minutes early and take you seat. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. For more information please contact Claudette at firstname.lastname@example.org.
