As the days get brighter and longer, the very first signs of spring begin to emerge. At the end of March our Abbott is back from the temple in India for a very full season of classes and retreats that will run through fall. We have just released the spring schedule, all events through the beginning of June are open for registration. This will be a year of many profound teachings.
Our classes on Indian Buddhist history come to a close as the final events of the winter season. We can reflect that in ancient and medieval India, the journey of spiritual learning and practice was considered the supreme activity of life. For over a thousand years royal dynasties and people from every strata of society joyfully engaged with the philosophy and practice of Buddhism. In this noble tradition, now in a different country and time, the doors to the great academy of Buddhist studies is still open for all to walk through.
