Nature of Mind I: The Path of Meditation

This one-day class explores the path to true freedom and satisfaction in our lives.

We will examine both the causes of our difficulties and how to cultivate a more authentically joyful experience.

We will also learn the art of meditation, which reveals our calm and confident mind.

Nature of Mind II: Clearly Seeing

We begin to further our understanding about the mind and external phenomena.

Through examining the relative and ultimate levels of truth, one understands how the mind and world actually function and appear.

Our meditation practice expands into methods to increase awareness.

Nature of Mind III: Immeasurable Qualities

The true nature of mind is imbued with profound qualities of wisdom. We learn how to navigate our world with love, compassion, joy and equinimity. Through skillfully relating with ourselves, we can learn to relate to others.

Nature of Mind IV: The Diamond Path

Having been grounded in the fundamental concepts of the path we can now go further and explore the world of Vajrayana. This class introduces the philosophy, iconography and methods of tantric Buddhism – Everything you have always wanted to know in clear, easy to understand language.

The Buddhist Refuge and Bodhisattva Vows

This morning class will cover the meaning of taking Refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha and the Bodhisattva vows to formally become a Buddhist. Following this class Khen Rinpoche will offer the vows to those who wish to take them.

Tuition & Registration

All Nature of Mind classes are held at the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas in Montana and are available by live online streaming anywhere in the world. Tuition for the Nature of Mind Series depends on each individual program, these courses may be attended by commuting, however housing is available for a very reasonable additional fee as needed.
